8 Ways To Eat Out & Still Lose Weight !

Heading out for food with friends and worried about falling off the wagon? 😬

I’ve been there & I PROMISE it’s totally possible to lose weight & still be social; providing you follow my guideline below! 😉

let’s get to the tips!

1. Fill up on protein and veggies before your meal out so that you don't arrive at the restaurant starving.⁠ Protein will keep you fuller for longer and the fiber from vegetables will too, by having both before eating out, you won’t be caught short!

2. Look at the menu and decide what you’re going to have in advance! ⁠ Going in with a plan leaves less room for going ‘off track’ & last minute impulses.⁠

3. Choose a protein as your main meal as this will fill you up. If you can get something lean, even better. ⁠Chicken, Turkey, White Fish & Tuna are great options. If you can’t get a lean protein, steak, lamb and salmon are fine to have provided you don’t go overboard with the rest of the meal.

4. Stick to zero calorie drinks. Don’t waste your calories on cocktails & drinks that won’t keep you full! ⁠Calories from drinks add up very quickly & slow down your body's ability to break down fat.

5. Choose between starters, sides, alcohol & dessert! You can’t have it all & still achieve your goals. Be mindful & choose what you fancy the most. ⁣ 

6. Ask for any sauces that come with your meal, to come on the side, so that you can control how much you have. Sauces like drinks have lots of hidden calories for small amounts and don’t offer any satiety so avoid where possible. 

7. Opt for grilled or steamed options over fried as this will reduce the calories greatly.⁠ Roasted is better than fried but often still has added oils and butters. 

8. Go for a walk before or after your meal! Not only will this encourage your digestion but you’ll help to increase your activity for that day which will then  increases your chances for weight loss that week 😄⁣⁠
