Learning How to Ask for Help (& Why We Should!)

We ALL need help from time to time, however, I know it can be SO hard to ask and take those first steps, reaching out to whoever you need to.

Whether that help is from a personal trainer to help us get in shape and feel healthy in our bodies, or a therapist to support our mental health or from a friend to support us through the other things. Whatever it is, we ALL need supportive people around us!

How many times have you thought about asking someone for help and not felt like you deserved it? Or felt you were making a big deal of something so you just tried to deal with it alone? I know I can't be the only one!

To a manager 'I'm really struggling with my current workload, is there any way you can help me prioritise it, and potentially hand some work over so I don't burn out?'

To a therapist for professional help 'Hi, I'm currently struggling with xxx, I need help managing it, am I able to set up an initial session to see if we can work together?'

People will sometimes say no, but that is okay, acknowledging what you need is the first step 💜
