When I first learned of practicing gratitudes, I’ll be honest, I was very sceptical.
I didn’t understand how writing down what I was grateful for was going to make any difference to how I felt.
PLUS it felt super awkward.
I got to a stage where I had nothing by to lose. I was so depressed so I took a chance & I’m so glad I did!
Practicing daily gratitudes has been life changing for me. My whole experience and perception of my days has changed entirely.
I have more excitement, joy & energy. I genuinely feel grateful for my life everyday and that feeling to me is magical after reaching lows where I felt life wasn’t worth living anymore.
An easy way to practice gratitude is to LINK it to something you already do..
That way, it’s not another thing on your ‘to do list’. PLUS, it also makes the first task you’re already doing, more engaging, as you’ll be stimulating your brain by thinking about what you’re grateful for!
The very act of thinking about what we are grateful for, is where the magic really is! It changes the way we see situations as it is making us search for the good, even on the toughest of days & seasons of our lives 🌏
Today I’m grateful for my energy. Since having COVID (twice), my energy is something that has really suffered and mentally this has been incredibly challenging for me.
Over the last few weeks I’ve really clamped down by removing all the things in my life that drain my energy (Tv, blue light, processed food and sugar, my never ending to do list) and have promised myself, that I will only do what I really NEED to do, in order to be able to recover.
