Why I Love Meal Prepping

Can I be really honest with you? I don’t think I’d be able to eat healthily if I didn’t meal prep.

Life is SO busy. I could give you all the ‘excuses’ as to why its easier to just grab food on the go but the reality is that if I didn’t make the sacrifice of my time to meal prep, I KNOW my life would look very different.

There’s a saying that goes, if you don’t have your health , what do you have?

I know this feeling all too well. When I eat well, I feel good, when I feel good, I can do more things I love, I feel more confident in myself, my body moves with ease, I have more energy, then I help more people, when I help more people, I feel inspired and when I feel inspired, well, life just feels SO GOOD!

It’s important to first figure out why you want to meal prep & what you want out of it. Only then, will you know the kind of plan that will work for you.

For me, as well as the above benefits, PRACTICALLY, its about not having the time to spend cooking everyday but still wanting the benefits enough to give up half a day (sometimes less) prepping.

I treat my freezer as a takeaway. I get home, and rather than opening up Uber eats, I open my freezer, chuck the food in a pan to heat up and sit on the sofa to unwind.

I get the same convenience Uber gives, except with food I’ve cooked. I know exactly what’s in it & I know its nourishing my body. Not to mention the huge £££ saving.

I always get asked what I eat and what I recommend people to eat. The truth is, the food plan that is going to work best for you, is the one you can stick to. For me, I need something that has varied meals, but not too much variety that it feels like hard work to prep. I need something that has different types of cuisines and a variety of flavours. I need meals that heat well, freeze well and that are filling- as I’m often eating on the go or briefly between clients.

This meal plan works because it is designed for me, with my needs, preferences and lifestyle in mind. Your meal plan needs to work for you.
